Organizing
Keeping a tidy desk is
important to learning. Here are two girls trying to keep things
organized so that they can find the tools they will need to use. |

Lunch Count
Students
have their own responsibilities by putting what each student wants for lunch
on the board. This helps them to learn that being responsible is an
important skill. |

Catching Up
The students catch up on their
work in the mornings so that they might receive a good grade in their
class.
|
|
Library Time
Every day the students get to
check out one book from the library. On Tuesdays they are able to
check out two books. The students are able to learn responsibility by
making sure that their books are not overdue.

|
Morning
Duties
The students have
jobs that each person is responsible for. To the left one student is
counting how many students get hot lunch.
|
Here a student is changing the
date. This helps them keep track of the day.
|
The students keep track of how
many days that they have been in school. This teaches them that
each day is important and they need to keep track of how many days they are
in school.
|
|
Calendars
If the students get their
calendars signed for reading a book, then they get a piece of candy.
If they get the calendar signed ten times then the students get to pick out
of a box of goodies.

|
Reading Counts
After they read their books each students takes a reading counts test for
that book. If the student passes the test then they receive a prize.
|
|
|
Turning in Homework
When the student
arrive in the morning they put their backpacks in the cubby hole and turn
their homework in the proper bins.
|
|
Desk Checker
Each week their is
a new Desk Checker. The Desk Checker looks at each students desks and
if they are clean then the Desk Checker gives them a sticker.
|
|
The students learn responsibility in everything they
do. These are some of the main activities where they learn what
responsibility is and they use it everyday.
