Dear Parents: Thank you for your interest in your student’s classes. I appreciate the time you spend seeking a quality education for your child. I have provided a brief explanation of my experience and current assignment in my letter; however, if you need more information, you may contact me at the school via my work e-mail riemm@canon.k12.co.us.org or at my school phone number 276-5899. My educational credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Western State College in 1987 and a Master’s Degree in Literacy from Lesley College in 1996. I have worked in the district since the fall of 1987 as a member of the English department at Canon City High School. I currently teach the following freshman and senior level classes: Composition I, Literature I, Senior Literature, and College Preparatory Writing. If you are interested in viewing the syllabus for a particular course, please refer to the appropriate link on the web page or to your student’s notebook. In your student’s class notebook, you will find classroom guidelines as well as a complete syllabus. To help you stay informed of your student’s grade, I send home progress reports every two weeks. Please sign and return the progress report with your student by the due date printed at the bottom of each report.
