Skyline Elementary School

Skyline Elementary School is a wonderful school, servicing students in grades K-6.  It has wonderful nurturing teachers who challenge students to become their best.

ACTIONS TO ACHIEVE GOALS

·         Support “Facilitation Reading for Optimum Growth” groups (FROG)

·         Provide additional support for at risk students – Summer School, Help One Student To Succeed (HOSTS), and Mentoring Program.

·         Provide a Leadership, Education & Advancement for Students Development (LEAD) Home Work club.

·         Require Read at Home and Take Home Math programs in all classrooms.

·         Problem solving strategies will be taught in each classroom math program.

·         Support Accelerated Math, an individualized math program.

·         Each student will have the opportunity to set goals in math.

·         6 Trait and Step Up to Writing will be taught through reading and writing throughout the content areas.
