| Our new math
program is called Everyday Math. So we do math every day! Seriously, it is
a fantastic program that presents math skills in a spiraling pattern that
virtually insures mastery over time. In a lesson, a student will use many
math skills to work on several different kinds of problems.
Things to know:
- Every day, or every other day,
there will be a "Study Link", which is like a mini- test to
see if students understood the lesson that was taught that day. Study
Links answers are in the Family Letter that goes home at the beginning
of each unit. Students will hopefully really work on the problems and
check their answers with the Family Letter. Study Links are
graded.
- In addition, math boxes may be
assigned as homework. These are usually review problems.
