Dear Families,

Children make the best progress in academic and social areas when the family and school work closely together. Practicing the goals and objectives as listed on your child's Individual Education Plan will insure success along his academic continuum.    

Teachers and paraprofessionals are expected to introduce and practice those goals and objectives described on your child’s IEP.  Additional “pull-out” sessions and adapted materials are the responsibility of teachers and paraprofessionals.   

Parents are expected to read and practice sight words each night with their student.  A math homework page comes home several times each week that should be completed with parental assistance.  Because education is a partnership between home and school, students make the most progress when both sides are actively involved.

Students are expected to take home their home-school folder each night with the appropriate materials.  There are many web sites designed to give families information about their child's special needs.  Some to explore include:
