DISCOVERY
Canon City Middle School has implemented the Discovery program. This is a series of methods that are used as communication models in schools across the nation. CCMS uses Discovery in an all-building approach to improve success levels for kids and adults in our school and community. This program teaches people of all ages how to talk and interact with each other effectively. | One way in which the Discovery principles affect daily class life can be seen to the right and above. Group activities start with all participants facing one another, a strategy which enables effective communication. While working together, students model many other skills which help their work today, and will continue to aid them in future group work settings. |  |
