 United States History Course Syllabus

 

This course covers the period of American History from pre-Columbian native civilizations through the Civil War.  Students will be exposed to American history from Civil War Reconstruction to modern times during their junior year.  This syllabus serves as a rough outline of the periods covered in class.  To view the actual lessons, show up for class.

           This unit focuses on the Native cultures, American settlement, economic development, and current status of the Centennial State.  Local history is studied, from the journals of Zebulon Pike to the rise of the Ku Klux Klan in the early 20th century.
