Students regularly work in small group environments.  They strengthen their workplace competencies by learning teamwork and compromising.

Most work is done online so that a student may work as quickly as they wish.  Since the curriculum is mostly on line, the students are able to work on their assignments from their home computer also.

Every hour the students and staff have a 10 minute break to to enjoy snacks or refreshments.  The only stipulations are that there are no drinks without lids allowed and there is no food at all in the computer lab.  Here are two students enjoying some goldfish right at the border of what we consider "in" the computer lab.

There is a large break area downstairs by the pop machines (how convenient) and an additional student break area up stairs with couches, tables, and bean bags.

As you can see in these pictures, all of the school property (tables, chairs, walls, equipment) is in excellent condition.  This is due to the fact that everyone treats everyone else with dignity and respect.  If someone is not acting or behaving within the culture limits, then anyone is entitled to respond in an adult manner by asking that person to correct their behavior.  Because of this, the environment is usually very friendly and warm.  Everybody knows that it is the inappropriate behaviors that will be "attacked", not the person.
