Washington academic and attendance awards are presented twice a year during an assembly at the end of the first and second semesters.  Teachers notify parents about individual awards several days in advance, so they can arrange to attend the assembly if possible. The awards assemblies are separated by grade level: 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 5th and 6th to shorten assembly duration.

Awards presented to third graders are:

The Gold Award - All A’s for both quarters

The Silver Award – All A’s and one B for both quarters

Perfect Attendance – No absences  for the semester

Excellent Attendance – One absence for the semester

Specials Awards for Art, Music, P.E. and Computer

And various other awards for school activities and achievements.

Mr. Schooler leads each assembly, shakes recipients’ hands, and poses for photo opportunities.  This is a wonderful time to share in your child’s accomplishments, or encourage your child to continue working toward reaching Washington’s high achievement standards.

We hope you will join us in celebrating student success!
