Problems in the past... Most of the problems that FTA students have had in the past have been about schedule conflicts. Most of those problems arise from the fact that at the last minute the student has a very important meeting, luncheon, or something that is important and then the student thinks it is more important than his/her FTA responsibilities. To compound the problem the student does not bother to call the cooperating teacher or at least the school secretary to explain. Please don’t cause this to happen to you. The other big problem is that the students don’t turn in the necessary forms and written assignments and get a “B” or an “F” on their grade reports. Some FTA students have had problems because they parked in a teacher or principal’s parking place. Make sure you know where you are approved to park. 87% of the FTA students got "A's" last year and demonstrated outstanding responsibility and reliable service to the students of the Cañon City Schools. We do not have a perfect record. There are always a few who can't perform at this high level of personal conduct.
