FUTURE
TEACHERS OF AMERICA (FTA) - (Pre-requisite:
Clean discipline record, 3.0 GPA, and approval of FTA sponsor) Seniors
who are interested in a career in education, have a clean discipline
record at CCHS and a 3.0 or above GPA are eligible to enter the FTA
program. FTA students interview with principals at the elementary schools
and are placed in the classroom as an FTA teacher aide. This program gives
students a chance to prove dedication, reliability and interest in
becoming an educator. FTA students are trusted to work with our children,
teaching them to read, do math, and learn so many other things necessary
to their continued success in school. Applicants must demonstrate
responsibility to enter this program. Approval of the building principal
is required. Students provide their own transportation to the assigned
school. |
