"A" grades will be awarded to the students who demonstrate quality work through enrichment and revision techniques. The other 25% of your grade will be based on a variety of sources that might include participation, organization, effort, attendance, tardies, etc. The grading scale is set up on a total point system taken from a variety of sources so that you may work toward the a grade range of your choice:

80 - 89 = B

70 - 79 = C

60 - 69 = D

59 and below = F

Attendance:  Students are allowed THREE general absences per quarter. Any general absence exceeding THREE will result in a ZERO for that day unless the student chooses to do "time-for-time" to make assignments up. Students are responsible for checking their make-up work when absent and will complete those assignments within the specified due date.

Tardies:  Students will be allowed one free tardy for the semester. All other tardies will cost the student Bonus Bucks or points off their final grade.

Daily Assignments and Projects:  Students will keep all assignments and projects organized within their 3-ring binders. All assignments must be completed and turned in on time. Fridays are designated as "official due dates" – any assignment exceeding a Friday deadline will NOT be accepted and the student will receive ZERO credit.

Class Structure:  Students will be completing assignments and projects with the computer and various software packages throughout the semester. Students will also be responsible for lecture information and be involved with group activities and group projects.
