Welcome to the Business Technology Department of Cañon City High School.  This website is designed to serve as a resource to students, parents and faculty for information regarding Business Department curriculum and personnel.  Our mission is to prepare students for success beyond high school by providing them with the necessary business, technology, and employment skills required in the work or college environment.

My name is Lisa DeBuano.  I currently teach with four other members in the Business Department.  I have been teaching at Cañon City High School for 13 years.  I have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Technology in Education.  I currently serve on the CCHS Curriculum and Instruction committee as well as the district Technology committee.  Because technology changes so quickly, we strive to stay current with technological and curricular changes in order to best serve our students by meeting the demands of this ever-changing world.

We have a wide variety of courses to offer our students within the Business Department.  We take pride in some of our upper level computer courses as they integrate highly specialized software used in the business world.  We also try to promote our four state accredited certificates that students can earn by taking specific classes.
