Parents can also help by:
- Set aside a specific time devoted to study time at home.
- Provide a workstation to complete math assignments that includes a table
or desk with a comfortable chair. This workstation should have
adequate light and ventilation.
- Make arrangements for students to attend after school tutoring at the
"homework club."
- Practice "teaching to the moment". When children
show a natural curiosity for things take the time to teach them about
it. For instance when a first grader starts asking question about the
clock, they are curious and ready to learn about time.
- Parents can request a Parent Report on student's Accelerated Math
progress. See below
