Support Activities Parents can us to help increase student success with Accelerated Math

     Parents can also help by:

  1. Set aside a specific time devoted to study time at home.
  2. Provide a workstation to complete math assignments that includes a table or desk with a comfortable chair.  This workstation should have adequate light and ventilation.
  3. Make arrangements for students to attend after school tutoring at the "homework club."
  4. Practice "teaching to the moment".   When children show a natural curiosity for things take the time to teach them about it.  For instance when a first grader starts asking question about the clock, they are curious and ready to learn about time.
  5. Parents can request a Parent Report on student's Accelerated Math progress. See below
