There is no extra credit to make up for assignments that students
fail to complete.
Each student receives one free late pass at the beginning of each
quarter. The pass allows the student to turn in an assignment 24 hours
late. It is good for anything except tests.
Students are expected to turn in quality work: neat, in blue or
black ink, mechanically and grammatically correct.
The proper heading for an assignment is as follows:
Name, Block #, Date, Name of Assignment placed in the upper right hand
corner of the page.
I require that many writing assignments be word processed. This
allows students to utilize the spell and grammar checkers and to
create a professional product. If a student does not have a computer
at home, he is welcome to use the one in my room or in one of our many
labs before school, at lunch or after school. Technology is a
way of life. Our students need to know how to use technology properly.
When a student is absent, he has one day for each day he misses to
complete his makeup work.
I post the assignments on the bulletin board at the front of the
room. It is the student's responsibility to check to see what he
missed. I also encourage study buddies so that when a student is
absent he has someone to take notes for him.
