International Club History

International Club (IC) was incepted in 1996 when the Caņon City High School Spanish and  French clubs merged.   The founding club members and club sponsor, Mrs Vanette Benesch, wanted to promote cultural awareness of a multitude of cultures.  In addition they wanted to create opportunities to include and feature foreign exchange student participation.  The club has become home to CCHS foreign exchange students.  

IC has sponsored such events as dances,  potlucks, museum and theatre trips, and foreign food-baking seminars.  The International Club has a bright future ahead of it...
